Things that I learned about Japan since I came to Japan

1) the trains are always on time
2) the services (in restaurants, shops, etc) are amazing, they treat you really well and polite too
3) Japanese people are a bit shy and are not very open to foreigners, of course not all of them are like that
4) People committing suicide by jumping on the railways. I don't like it because it always slow down the train....
5) Japanese commercials are so funny and interesting. And sometimes a bit weird too =v=;
6) Onsen&Sentou ( Hot water bath& Public Bath House), people have to get naked and have to see other people naked to bath in one. There are also some private Onsen I think..
7) Fast food restaurants~ not so many people go to eat there~ at least at the city where I'm living right now~

That's all for now~ there are lots of other things but I just can't think of one right now~ if you have any questions about Japan, you can just ask me. I'll try to answer according to what I know..

How are you dealing with the different cultural aspects.
my entire experience in Japan was 16 hours at the Tokyo Airport (the old one) in 1980. Not able to leave the terminal because I had packed (like a dummy) my passport in my suitcase not my carry-on.

It's hard to adapt at first. My country's culture is so much different than Japan's. There are also times where I was depressed about it. But now I think I'm doing fine. I observed how Japanese people act and tried to do the same things. Punctuality is very important in Japan, it's something that I was not used at but now, I care about it very much~ it just takes some time. ^^

Found it difficult myself when I lived in different countries. The only problems was that I never got to stay long enough (with the exception of Germany) to adjust.

I was just wondering because you brought up about the suicide by jumping on the railways. Does it happen often or just every once in a while? I'm assuming you've encounter multiple times of these incidents?

you told this and I hear it a lot that japanese people are shy and not so open with foreigners. So I was wondering how do YOU approach them? And I hear they're not so direct at first. So do you ask about the weather and then slowly ease into what you want to talk about?

ARE YOU LIVING IN DORMS?!?! O: or your own apartment complex? Tell me how the lifestyle is like!! * U *

have you been into a theme cafe before? o ,o like butler or maid? etc.

a-a-am I asking too much? OTL;; I'm sorry if I am ; A ;

Once in a while I think~ yup~ but it doesn't happen in front of me, just the train arrived late and you can hear the announcement that some people committed suicide and the train will arrive late. Some of my friends saw it happening in front of them....

It's a big trouble for me since I'm always shy around people that I don't know. It's hard for me to approach them really. I usually ask a question first~ ask about classes, homeworks etc~
And one thing about Japanese people is you have to greet them always. Or they won't talk to you. You might talk with them today and tomorrow they will act like they don't know you.

I'm currently living in a mansion with my friend~it's a mansion with two rooms, a bathroom and a toilet in separate room, a kitchen space. it's not too big but just nice for two people^^

I WANT TO GO TO A BUTLER CAFE SO BAD!!!!!!!!!!but there's no one who want to go with me~ Snif..Is Beautiful..Onion none of my friends are into these kind of stuffs....

in general, it is good to live in Japan? (from your point of view and from your experiences)
Would you recommend someone to live in Japan?
We ask this because we often hear conflicting opinions ^^'

I think it's a good place to live in.of course at first it's going to be hard a little because some japanese people are not very open to foreigners, it'll take time to adapt.
Other than that, it's a great country. A safe one too

GOOD!!!! (^o^)

Listen through anime, songs, and other helps, especially for pronunciation.

We have also bought a book with audio cd, then we study it at home by self-taught. Sometimes we take help from friends who know Japanese or Japanese friends for some things we do not understand. ^^

The kanji are diffcicili to store.
Do you hast learned them well?
